MFA Film & Video student and F&V adjunct faculty member Sean Jourdan has been selected as the Featured Local Filmmaker for Chicago by Student Films Across America (http://www.studentfilmsacrossamerica.com/).  His film "An Open Door" (his directing III film) will be screened on Saturday, June 9th at 7pm at the Lakeshore Theater as part of their traveling program.

Karla DiBenedetto's documentary short On the Grind will participate in Chicago's very own Bronzeville Film Festival www.bronzefest.com June 14-16, 2007.  On the Grind screens Friday June 15th, 2007, 2PM @ Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies, 700 E. Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago. Also, her film, Running Home will participate in the world's largest and most exciting LGBT film festival, Frameline 31, the San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival, June 14-24, 2007.

The Virgin's Bed (Le Lit De La Vierge, Philippe Garrel, 1969, 105') Newly struck 35 mm print
Filmmaker Jackie Raynal will present the first-ever Chicago screening of this film.

Saturday, June 16 1 pm
Vite (Quickly, Daniel Pommereulle, 1969, 37') and Deux Foix (Twice Upon A Time, Jackie Raynal, 1968, 72') Newly struck and restored 35 mm prints
A discussion with filmmaker Jckie Raynal and critic Jonathan Rosenbaum will follow the screening.
