Advanced camera facilities support both training and advanced student production. Students in Camera Seminar classes are exposed to professional camera equipment from both outside rental companies and from within the department. After achieving a qualifying grade, students become eligible to access equipment for use on registered, advanced, independent projects, thesis projects and certain higher level classes.

No projects done for profit or to obtain credit at other institutions will be given access to Columbia equipment. Anyone discovered abusing this policy risks loosing their equipment privileges
