PRODUCING RESOURCES

Producing Sites

In addition to the sites listed here, take a look at the producing bibliography. If you have a film or are in preproduction, look at some festivals for submission.

General Sites
www.filmmakers.com/stories/Producer.htm
Great place to start. This is a wonderfully comprehensive film site with loads of resources. This is one of the best places to start. You could spend a long time here and still not have exhausted the site. Obviously, we start at the Producer page but it really has everything.

Trade Organizations
A good producer must be a good researcher. You should develop an appetite for tracking trends in both the mainstream and indie industries. Knowing where to get information is half the battle.
